SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH SYDNEY
A few shots made while walking with Sydney the dog in Hyde Park. Also, by the way, using the Halide app on the iPhone which turns off the garish processing.
I hate the way iPhones process images - colours are too rich and skies too blue etc, etc - and the 24mm equivalent focal length is wrong somehow, always wrong. But this app makes a huge difference. Halide doesn’t allow zooming so what you see is what you get - focal length wise - but that seems to improve things. You can shoot in what they call ‘Process Zero’ which removes the majority of processing leaving you with a more or less ‘raw’ file. For some reason this work really well and transforms the camera into a much more useful device. Images look more natural and there is a quality to them, perhaps a crispness, that look like it was taken on a regular camera.
Just search up ‘Halide’ on the app store. I’d be interested to hear what you think.
